High Performance ZigBee Ready Wireless Module

 

The DevCom 03 ZigBee Module offers a fasttrack approach to development of IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee applications.

 

Based on the new Flexis series of microcontrollers and the low power radio IC from Freescale, the

DevCom 03 module is a ready-to-use building block that can be mounted directly in any end equipment needing ZigBee, 802.15.4 or proprietary wireless data transfer at 2.4 GHz.

 

The module has an internal antenna and comes with a 24-pole connector with access to multiple I/Os.

 

The DevCom 03 ZigBee Module is available as a module with standard software or as module with customized software developed by Develco A/S in close cooperation with the customer.

 

To build a complete ZigBee solution, the module is supported by the Freescale BeeKit development package. A utility supplied by Develco will create the DevCom 03 as a hardware profile in the BeeKit environment, making firmware customization very easy.

Software Configurations

 

The modules are preloaded with MAC based cable replacement software.

 

As a part of the DevCom Module, Develco can also deliver a development platform. In this way, you can develop software directly on the module that is going to be incorporated into an existing product. The platform is supported by Freescale's ZigBee development environment - BeeKit. This software includes demo versions of ZigBee profiles.
